WHAT IS ROAD HAZARD DAMAGE?
Damage due to road hazards is caused by unforeseen conditions on a highway or public road, which should not exist there. This includes debris, potholes, and nails. Damage on the road can damage the vehicle’s body panels, headlights, taillights, tires, wheels, or windshield.
Autoshield’s Road Hazard program helps you cover your vehicle against damage caused by road hazards.
The most common types of road hazards are potholes, screws, nails, glass, or foreign debris.
Road damage can occur in the event of tire failure for the following reasons:
Due to a puncture or break
Incurred while driving safely on a legal highway
On a maintained path
Due to causes or conditions beyond the control of the tire manufacturer.
Road risk guarantee program:
Autoshield’s Road Hazard Protection Program covers subsequent types of damage. This damage is usually caused by road hazards like nails, glass, and potholes.
Rim + tire repair
If your tires or rims are damaged due to a road hazard, you are covered by unlimited repair and/or replacement claims.
Windshield repair
If small cracks and crevices occur due to random road debris, it is covered for repairs only on the front windshield.
Key + remote replacement
Replacing a lost, stolen, or damaged key is annoying because it is expensive. You are no longer covered.
Dent, scratch and paint repair.
It is covered by door knocks, scratches, and knocks that require repair of the paint on the vehicle body panels.
Headlight + taillight replacement
If your headlights, taillights, or fog lights are damaged due to road hazards, you are covered for repair or replacement.
Wheel cosmetics
It is covered with wheels damaged by accidental scratches on media, potholes and even edges.
Car rental refund
If your vehicle repair takes a long time to repair, you are covered by the car rental refund associated with your claim.

WHAT IS NOT A ROAD HAZARD:
Defects due to bad materials or poor execution.
Current manufacturer warranties cover tires that become unusable for any reason under the control of the tire manufacturer, which generally covers materials and labor. Some samples may be a forbidden band, a tread, and a deviation.
This type of injury is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty program, but this damage is not considered a hazard. Therefore, our risk protection program does not cover this damage as it is under the manufacturer’s control.
Sidewalk damage
Sidewalk damage is not covered by the Risk Guarantee, as curbs are not a road hazard.
Other damages
Damage that is not considered dangerous includes damage caused by fire, vandalism, theft, accident, off-road use, improper inflation, or improper tire installation. None of them are covered by Autoshield’s risk protection program.
